Genesis 2:18 tells us the purpose of marriage is companionship. Genesis 2:24 tells us the goal of marriage is to become one flesh (unity). This one flesh relationship involves all areas of life; spiritual, emotional, and physical. If we want to have healthy marriages, we need to know where we are headed, so understanding the purpose and goal of marriage is important. At Calvary Gateway, our marriage ministry exists to support, equip, and encourage couples to grow in their calling to become One Flesh. Marriage is not just a commitment but a covenant. Strong families begin with Christ-centered marriages. We believe that marriage is designed by God as a sacred union between husband and wife. Every marriage, whether newly formed, well-established, or in need of restoration, can experience renewal, joy, and purpose through biblical truth.
